Kiara Carter, an 18-year-old from Grand Rapids, Michigan, tragically lost her life on March 20, 2017. The incident occurred at a house party on Kalamazoo Avenue SE near Franklin Street. According to the Grand Rapids Police Department, Carter died from a gunshot wound to the head, and her death was ruled a homicide by the Kent County Medical Examiner. Carter was a mother to a one-year-old girl, adding to the heartbreak of her untimely death.
