On a spring evening in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the life of 23-year-old Aaron Marquise Holmes was tragically cut short. On May 8, 2021, outside the Baymont by Wyndham Kalamazoo East, gunshots shattered the night. Responding to the reports of gunfire around 10 p.m., officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety discovered Holmes suffering from a gunshot wound.
