In the late hours of a Monday night in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, the life of Rico Rashawn Hayes, a 32-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On May 24, 2021, at approximately 10:47 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2600 block of Riordan Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Hayes in the driver's seat of a dark-colored Dodge, suffering from a single gunshot wound to the head.
