Rico Rashawn Hayes, a 32-year-old resident of Muskegon, Michigan, tragically lost his life on the night of May 24, 2021. Hayes was found in the driver's seat of a dark-colored Dodge with a single gunshot wound to the head. The incident occurred in the 2600 block of Riordan Street in Muskegon Heights. Police responded to the scene around 10:47 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Hayes was immediately transported to Mercy ER, where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
