On a summer afternoon in Flint Township, Michigan, the life of 21-year-old Jacari La'Vuan Roberts was tragically cut short. On June 16, 2021, at approximately 4 p.m., Roberts, a Black male, was shot outside an apartment building at the Hunters Ridge Apartments on Ridgecliff Drive. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, and Roberts was quickly transported to a local hospital, but he ultimately succumbed to his wounds.
