On August 9, 2021, at approximately 12:40 a.m., a tragic shooting occurred at Broome Park in Flint, Michigan, resulting in the death of 18-year-old Alyssa Rose McMahon. Alyssa, a South Lyon High School graduate and honor student at Michigan State University, was attending a social gathering in the park's parking lot when an assailant fired into the group, striking six individuals. Among the victims was 19-year-old Elvin "Dubie" Hollinger II, who also succumbed to his injuries.
