In the quiet community of Windsor Township, Michigan, a devastating series of events unfolded on the evening of September 24, 2021, leading to the tragic death of Ryan Thomas Sougstad. The 29-year-old male, along with his parents, John and Barbara Sougstad, were found deceased in their family home in what was determined to be a triple homicide. Ryan, who was born and raised in the Lansing area, was a graduate of Holt High School and had attended Lansing Community College.

The grim discovery was made after neighbors reported hearing gunshots and screams emanating from the Sougstad residence.
