Elijah Joseph Brooks, a 19-year-old from Lansing, Michigan, tragically lost his life on January 10, 2022. The incident occurred at an apartment complex located in the 700 block of North Pennsylvania Avenue. Brooks was shot multiple times at close range in a hallway, with at least one shot fired while he was lying on the floor. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
