In the early hours of October 2, 2015, the life of 20-year-old Maurice Anthony-Charles Kirkwood Jr. was cut short in a fatal shooting in southeast Lansing, Michigan. The incident unfolded around 12:30 a.m. in the 3200 block of Trappers Cove Trail, within the Trappers Cove apartment complex. Kirkwood, a resident of Haslett, was a male who became embroiled in an altercation that tragically escalated to gunfire.
