In the early hours of Memorial Day, May 27, 2024, the city of Lansing, Michigan, was shaken by an act of violence that claimed the life of 17-year-old Kylete Nasir Owens. A male student at Everett High School, Owens was remembered for his amazing smile, larger-than-life personality, and his kind heart. He was an honor student with aspirations of pursuing a career in music after his anticipated graduation in 2025.
