In the fall of 2016, the life of Marcus Jamal Osby, a 28-year-old Black man from Lansing, Michigan, came to a tragic end in a case that police would later describe as a double murder-suicide. Osby, known to friends and family as 'Hoss' for his significant stature and physical strength, was a father of two sons and was remembered for his kind heart and gentle spirit.
