Jordan DeMay, a 17-year-old from Marquette, Michigan, tragically passed away on March 25, 2022. His death was the result of a targeted sextortion scheme, a form of online blackmail where perpetrators coerce victims into sending explicit images and then demand money under threat of public exposure. In Jordan's case, he was manipulated into sharing a compromising photo, which led to demands for $1,000. Despite paying $300, the threats continued, culminating in his untimely death by suicide.
