A warm summer evening at Spring Valley Park in Kalamazoo, Michigan, turned into a scene of tragedy on June 10, 2023. A celebratory gathering, filled with the sounds of live music and birthday festivities, was shattered by the eruption of gunfire. In the midst of the chaos, 35-year-old Marcus Tillman was struck by the hail of bullets. First responders rushed to his aid, but his injuries proved to be unsurvivable, and he died at the park.
