On that Tuesday evening, Darion was in a vehicle with Alexia and their children. They were in the process of dropping off his older brother, Quintae Hunter, at their sister's apartment in Roosevelt Park. In a sudden and unforeseen turn of events, Quintae produced a firearm and shot Darion before turning the gun on himself in a murder-suicide. There was no apparent warning or altercation leading up to the tragic incident, leaving his loved ones in a state of shock and grief.
