In the early morning hours of May 8, 2022, the quiet of the Independence Square Apartments in Clarkston, Michigan, was shattered by the sound of gunshots. Responding to a 911 call, deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office entered an apartment on Dixie Highway to a grim discovery. Inside, they found the body of 22-year-old Bishop Taverner in the living room, the victim of a single gunshot wound.
