In the summer of 2022, the life of 17-year-old Edmond Lamont Butler Jr. was tragically cut short in Detroit, Michigan. On the morning of July 26, police responded to a report of a shooting at the intersection of South Liebold and Gilroy streets. Arriving at the scene, they discovered Butler deceased in the driver's seat of his car, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. The Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed the cause of death.
