Stephan Nolen Jr., a 13-year-old male who was Black/African American, was shot and killed on Detroit’s east side on August 1, 2025. He was walking near East Lantz Street and Mitchell when a dark-colored vehicle pulled alongside, words were exchanged, and gunfire erupted. One round fatally struck 13-year-old Stephan Nolen Jr., while his 13-year-old stepbrother was wounded and survived.
