Robert Mansfield Buck, a Prohibition Agent, tragically lost his life on February 1, 1932, in Hancock County, Mississippi. Buck was conducting surveillance with fellow agent E. Robinson when they encountered two armed suspects, Zeno Hoda and Oscar Favre, at an illegal still. The agents ordered the suspects to surrender their weapons, but Hoda chose to draw his gun, prompting the agents to fire, hitting Hoda twice.
