Detention Officer Casey Ryan Harmon, aged 20, tragically lost his life on March 2, 1998, while on duty at the Lee County Juvenile Detention Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Harmon was shot and killed by a 16-year-old detainee who was about to be released for a shoplifting charge.
