In the early hours of April 6, 2017, the lives of two young men, Andrew Robinson, 26, and his friend Timothy Butler, 25, were cut short in a burst of violence in Tupelo, Mississippi. The two men were discovered inside a house located at the corner of West Jackson and Park streets, both having succumbed to gunshot wounds. The Lee County Coroner swiftly ruled their deaths a double homicide, casting a somber shadow over the community. An autopsy was ordered to confirm the exact cause of death.
