Parmvir Singh, a 33-year-old man of Indian descent, had been in the United States for just 14 months, seeking the American dream and a better life to support his family back in his village of Dhapai in Kapurthala, Punjab. His journey tragically ended on September 11, 2022, inside the Chevron gas station on Cliff Gookin Boulevard in Tupelo, Mississippi, where he worked as a clerk.
