Glen Victor Agee, a 31-year-old male Jackson Police Department officer, was shot and killed in the line of duty on Friday, August 6, 2010. On that day, Agee and another officer had arrested a man identified as 24-year-old Latwan Smith for aggravated assault and domestic violence. Smith had allegedly threatened his girlfriend with a loaded gun at a residence in South Jackson earlier that day.
