In the autumn of 2013, a chilling discovery was made in a home on Moon Street in Jackson, Mississippi, where a woman found the bodies of three individuals, each having sustained a single gunshot wound to the head. One of the victims was identified as 25-year-old Sherrod Brown. The other victims were 29-year-old Eldra Gibson and 22-year-old Ashley Taylor.
The investigation into the triple homicide led Jackson Police to 31-year-old Javondus Beasley, who was subsequently arrested and
charged with the murders. Evidence implicating Beasley was reportedly found at the crime scene. Shortly after the discovery of the three victims, the body of a fourth individual, 51-year-old Mike Wilson, was found next door. He had been stabbed multiple times, and police indicated that an additional murder charge against Beasley was pending in connection with this death.
Subsequent legal proceedings resulted in the conviction of a Jackson man on three counts of murder in connection with the deaths of Brown, Gibson, and Taylor. This brought a measure of resolution to a case that had shaken the community.
