On a Friday night in Atlantic City, the life of 25-year-old Dameer Smith of New York City was cut short by a single gunshot. On February 5, 2021, at approximately 9:27 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting on the 1300 block of Pacific Avenue. Upon arrival, officers and EMS personnel found Dameer Smith on the street with a gunshot wound.
