On the late evening of May 9, 2024, the life of 38-year-old Baseem Taliaferro, a male resident of Galloway Township, was tragically cut short. Inside a first-floor apartment at 9 West Pleasant Avenue in Pleasantville, police responded to a call of shots fired shortly after 11 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Taliaferro with a fatal gunshot wound to his chest; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
