Hardy Antonio Jones, aged 26, was killed on May 25, 2009, in Baltimore, Maryland. Jones was fatally shot in a residential neighborhood, which was indicative of the violence that plagued Baltimore at that time. The area where the incident occurred was part of a high-crime region that had seen an alarming number of shootings and homicides during the year.
