A 29-year-old woman, Melissa Primer, was fatally shot by her stepfather in Canton, Mississippi. The tragic event unfolded in the driveway of a home where an argument between Primer and her 52-year-old stepfather, Torres Harris, escalated with deadly consequences. While the two were in a car, Harris produced a firearm and shot his stepdaughter. A child who was present in the back seat of the vehicle at the time of the shooting was physically unharmed.
