On January 29, 2024, 53-year-old Kristi Johnson was fatally shot in her home on East Fulton Street in Canton, Mississippi. Her husband, Myles Johnson, reported the incident to authorities the following day, on January 30, claiming that his wife had been shot. Upon arrival, police found Kristi Johnson deceased on the couple's bed with a single gunshot wound to her back.
