In the late hours of a Tuesday night in Canton, Mississippi, a domestic disturbance call shattered the quiet of the Oakfield Boulevard neighborhood. When Madison County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene around 11:30 p.m. on August 22, 2023, they found a chaotic and tragic situation unfolding. Two individuals were discovered near the entrance of the neighborhood with injuries, and reports indicated an active shooter was still in the vicinity.
