In the early days of 2017, the life of Omario Meesha Caldwell, a 41-year-old Black transgender woman, was tragically cut short in Canton, Mississippi. Known to her friends and community as Mesha, she was a talented and popular hair and makeup artist, remembered for her vibrant personality and kindness.
