In the late summer of 2014, in Jackson, Mississippi, the life of 38-year-old Steve McElroy was tragically cut short. On the evening of Tuesday, September 2nd, McElroy, a Black male, was at a local sports bar with 26-year-old Demarcus McElroy. The night took a fatal turn when gunfire erupted, leaving both Steve and Demarcus dead. The incident, which unfolded at what was reported to be Mugshots Bar and Grill, sent shockwaves through the community.
