In the winter of 2016, a dispute at a local nightclub in Macon, Mississippi, tragically cut short the life of 34-year-old Andrew Quintrell Sherrod. The male business owner was fatally shot on the night of December 11, 2016, at his own establishment on Gillespie Road. Another man, Deangelo Martin, was also wounded in the incident but was expected to recover from his injuries.
