In the small town of Macon, Mississippi, a late-night argument shattered the peace and ended a life. Michael 'Ratchet' Taylor, a 32-year-old Black man, was a self-employed mechanic and a father. On the night of Saturday, November 4, 2023, an altercation erupted on Martin Luther King Drive, culminating in gunfire. Taylor was struck multiple times. He was rushed to the nearby Noxubee General Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he died in the early hours of November 5th. The violence ...
