In the summer of 2017, a domestic situation spiraled into a tragic and fatal conclusion for a Gulfport, Mississippi woman. Sierra Jefferson, a 42-year-old female, died on August 10, 2017, three days after being shot by her husband. The incident that led to her death occurred on August 7 behind the Memorial Physicians Clinic on U.S. 49, where she worked as a medical assistant.
