In the early morning hours of January 5, 2018, the life of 30-year-old Christopher King, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Jackson, Mississippi. King was at the Rainbow Motel located on Medgar Evers Boulevard when he was fatally shot. The Jackson Police Department was called to the scene and immediately classified his death as a homicide, launching a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
