In the winter of 2019, the life of 20-year-old Quinvarus Devon Parker was tragically cut short in Jackson, Mississippi. On the first of February, Parker was fatally shot outside an apartment complex in the northern part of the city. His death marked the 12th homicide in Jackson that year.
The investigation into the shooting led to the arrests of three individuals. Within a week of the incident, a 19-year-old man was taken into custody in connection with Parker's death.
Shortly after, a third man was also arrested, bringing the number of suspects in custody to three. The motive for the shooting was not immediately released to the public.
Quinvarus, known to some by the nicknames '7 Quay' or 'Quin,' was remembered by loved ones. His family and friends were left to mourn the sudden and violent loss of a young man. Funeral services were held to honor his memory in Jackson.
