On May 28, 2023, 14-year-old Jermaine Elijah McDonald was shot while traveling in a vehicle on McDowell Road in Jackson, Mississippi, shortly after leaving the Pine Ridge Gardens Apartments. He succumbed to his injuries on June 3, 2023.

Following an investigation, authorities identified 31-year-old Brandon Pugh as the primary suspect in the shooting. Pugh was apprehended by U.S. Marshals on July 11, 2023, at a residence on Culpepper Drive in South Jackson. He was charged with murder in ...Read More
