Lee Edward Bonner, aged 37, died on February 21, 2018, in Jackson, Mississippi, following a confrontation with Jackson Police Department (JPD) officers. The incident occurred during a narcotics investigation when two plain-clothes detectives pursued Bonner and another man. The chase led to an abandoned house on Deer Park Street, where police claimed Bonner pulled out a gun and fired at them. In response, the officers returned fire, hitting Bonner multiple times.
