In the evening hours of Saturday, January 27, 2024, in Jackson, Mississippi, a burst of gunfire shattered the night, leaving a young man's life tragically cut short. Keegan Omari Roberts, a 24-year-old male, was killed in the shooting which occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Verbena Street. When Jackson police officers arrived at the scene of the violent encounter, they discovered Roberts had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
