In the early morning hours of Sunday, February 4, 2018, a dispute between roommates in Meridian, Mississippi, turned deadly, leaving one man dead and the other facing a murder charge. James Dearman, a 48-year-old male, was tragically shot twice in the chest at close range, ending his life. The incident unfolded in the residence he shared with his roommate, creating a grim scene for law enforcement to uncover.
Responding to the call, police discovered Dearman's body and quickly identified his roommate, 47-year-old Adam Shirley, as the alleged perpetrator. Shirley, who had recently moved to the area from out of state, was taken into custody and subsequently charged with the murder of his roommate.
