On New Year’s Day in 2017, the life of 25-year-old Jeffrey Pope, a male resident of Meridian, Mississippi, was tragically cut short. In the early morning hours, before 5 a.m., Pope was fatally shot. His body was discovered at the intersection of 16th Street and 16th Avenue, and investigators found. 40-caliber shell casings near him, indicating the violent nature of his death.
