Demetress Kelly, a 34-year-old woman from Jackson, Mississippi, was tragically killed in a shooting on February 26, 2018. The incident occurred just before 2:30 a.m. on Alabama Street near Virginia Avenue in Jackson. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Kelly's body lying in the roadway, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
