Death by Force

On May 15, 2019, 73-year-old African American woman Margaret Victoria Pierce was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds in her home on Myrtle Street in Jackson, Mississippi. The Jackson Police Department responded to the scene shortly before 8 p.m., where they discovered both Pierce and an elderly man at the residence. Investigators believe the man, identified as 74-year-old Hugh McLaurin, made the initial call to authorities.
