On April 10, 2024, 46-year-old Patricia Sue Owens was found deceased in her residence on Camp Circle in Laurens, South Carolina. Responding to a 911 call around 3:54 p.m., Laurens Police Department officers discovered Owens inside her home, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The Laurens County Coroner's Office confirmed that she died from a gunshot wound to the head, ruling her death a homicide.
