In a heartbreaking incident in Jackson, Mississippi, 11-year-old Asia Maria Turner lost her life on June 23, 2019. The young girl, a student at North Jackson Elementary, was described as having a happy spirit and being full of life.

The tragedy occurred when Asia sustained an accidental gunshot wound to the face. Reports indicate that she had found a firearm, which then discharged. Emergency services responded, but tragically, Asia succumbed to her injuries.
