In the early weeks of 2019, a violent incident shook the small community of Edwards, Mississippi, claiming the life of a young man. Joshual Brown, a 23-year-old African American male from the nearby area of McComb, was found dead on January 10 following a shooting at an apartment complex in Edwards. The shooting abruptly ended the life of the young victim and immediately launched a homicide investigation by the Hinds County Sheriff's Office to track down those responsible for the crime.
