In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Brookhaven, Mississippi, the life of 36-year-old Maya Brown Wilson was tragically cut short. On April 28, 2019, police responded to a call of a shooting at a residence on Laird Circle. Inside the home, they discovered Wilson, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.

Her husband, 48-year-old Charles Antoine Wilson, was at the scene and surrendered to the authorities without incident. He was subsequently arrested and charged with manslaughter in con ...
