Ruby Minnieweather, a 28-year-old woman from Jackson, Mississippi, tragically lost her life on June 1, 2019. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Medgar Evers Boulevard. Ruby was sitting in a vehicle with two small children when an unknown male suspect approached and fired multiple shots into the vehicle, striking her several times. Despite being transported to an area hospital by a private vehicle, Ruby succumbed to her injuries. The children in the vehicle were unharmed.
