Peggy Lowe, a female bank employee, was tragically murdered on September 17, 1981, during a violent robbery at the Metrocenter Branch of Unifirst Bank in Jackson, Mississippi. She was kidnapped by Marion Albert Pruett, an American serial killer who had been placed in the United States Federal Witness Protection Program under the alias Charles "Sonny" Pearson. Pruett abducted Peggy Lowe while robbing the bank where she worked, taking her hostage in a crime spree that spanned multiple states.
