In the summer of 2020, the life of 33-year-old Keith Lamar Lawson, a Black male from Gulfport, Mississippi, was tragically cut short. On the evening of June 14th, Lawson was shot multiple times in a violent encounter that took place off Hewes Avenue. He was rushed to Memorial Hospital, but the severity of his injuries proved fatal.
