Gary Michael McAlpin, aged 50, was found dead on July 9, 2020, at his home on Jeff Davis Road in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The discovery was made by a sheriff’s deputy who was flagged down by individuals reporting that an acquaintance had been shot. Upon arrival, the deputy found McAlpin unresponsive and cold, with numerous shell casings scattered around the yard. Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey confirmed McAlpin's death and sent his body to the Mississippi State Crime Lab for an autopsy.
